walked home with some colleagues and we talked about men and women in knowing 'your type'. it kind of fell into the cliche of 'men are from mars and women are from venus', but i was wondering, how perceptions on social codes have diverged among men and women since feminism emerged.

 

it is empirically true that a person with some characteristics of 'being in the middle' - that is, a man not too man, or a girl not too girlish - is advantaged in understanding human emotions from both men's side and women's side, and that he/ she is very likely to have a higher EQ and better communication skills. But, but, can these people end up with their mr./mrs. right with a probability that is above average? i would be happy if that is not below.  

 

p.s. a best friend got his favorite job offer yesterday. He does not like to disclose this for the moment, so i just con here. :)
